TERM-II Strategy for CBSE Schools

The examination criteria was revised this year by CBSE to facilitate a fair conduct of examination throughout the nation. Many questions were raised against the conduct of examination. This is an expected response from the authority and also by the people who are getting affected by it. Changes are often confusing and difficult to process at initial stages. As a part of this fraternity it is us who must understand and cooperate with the board. It was frustrating and difficult for me also to cope up with the continuously changing trends in examination and with new circulars coming up after every few days.
The examination is about to commence in many schools and now we are looking forward to pace up with the next term. Planning a strategy to complete the second term syllabus efficiently is very important as the time frame  is very narrow.  And to top it up we have uncertainty about the paper whether it will objective or subjective.
By looking at the current scenario, we can count on subjective examination at the end but still it will remain as a question till the time.
Preparing children for subjective paper and appearing for MCQ examination will not be an easy task for the children, if it comes to that. Keeping everything in mind, at least oral assessment of certain MCQ questions during the class is very important.
1. During December, we are looking forward to get winter breaks and these days can be utilized to prepare the projects and practical notebooks for X and XII respectively.
2. The notes for at least two chapters and NCERT questions can be dealt during this period.
3. Planning of PA-3 exam(subjective) in the mid week of January will be important because in February practical dates are usually released by the CBSE.
4. Pre- Board in the mid week/ last week of February depending upon the practical dates must be planned.
